Shane Pugh - Hospitality & Retail Manager
Shane has been an integral part of the Winery Restaurant since 1999. 
In 2008 Shane was named ‘Most Outstanding Maitre ‘D’ in the inaugural Hawkes Bay Hospitality Awards and in 2009 received the award for ‘Most Outstanding Front of House Personality’.
During his time with Vidal’s, Shane has been mentored by Sir George Fistonich, owner and managing director of the Villa Maria Group (which encompasses Vidal’s).
He has furthered his commitment to the industry by becoming involved in several regional hospitality committees such as the Hawkes Bay branch of the Restaurant Association - which works to aid the progress of the industry – and has consequently become a prominent and well regarded figure in the Hawkes Bay hospitality scene.
With an extensive background and wealth of knowledge in food and wine, Shane places great emphasis on educating staff and ensuring professionalism - making certain that all customers are given the full dining experience at every sitting.
Kimber Hyett - Cellar Shop Manager
With many years' experience in the retail and hospitality industry and a real affinity for people and wine, Kimber Hyett is integral to the everyday running of the Vidal Cellar Door.
Hawkes Bay born and bred, Kimber had her first taste of the wine industry when she joined Montana’s Church Road winery (formerly known as the McDonald winery and later Church Road) as part time cellar door assistant. Over a period of ten years, she worked her way up to the position of Cellar Door Manager, helping to coordinate and host numerous jazz concerts, tours, wine club events and other functions for the winery.
After time spent overseas, Kimber returned to New Zealand in 2007 and joined the Vidal team as Cellar Door Manager.
Pauline Kennedy - Administration and Functions Coordinator
She's worked in hospitality for 20 years, but Pauline Kennedy has never been more passionate about food, wine and dining out experiences than what she is now.
Formerly from Taranaki, Pauline made the move to the sunny Hawkes Bay six years ago to join Vidal's Restaurant. Since then she has enthusiastically overseen the administration and running of many great events and functions at the venue.
Her numerous years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including seven years as owner of a café/restaurant and function centre, makes her a valued part of the Vidal team.
