Off to a winning start with the new Vidal Reserve Series!
4 September 2011
Vidal wines picked up two gold medals at the recent New Zealand International Wine Show 2011!
Award winners were the Vidal Reserve Series Marlborough Pinot Noir 2010 and the Vidal Reserve Series Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010. Established and prided as one of the largest wine shows in New Zealand, entries can come from any country and any variety. This year there were a total 2,080 wines entered.
Vidal winemaker, Hugh Crichton commented on the wins: "Given that these wines have only been out a short time it's encouraging to see them receiving awards already. As two of New Zealand's most popular wine varietals, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, it's good to have recognition that these wines are amongst the best both New Zealand and other countries have to offer," he said.
